In the year 1965, amidst formidable challenges faced by Lorry Owners, a visionary initiative sprouted. The Krishna District Lorry Owners Association emerged as a united front, dedicated to turning adversity into opportunity.
Our Genesis
Its purpose is to empower, uplift, and unify the very backbone of transportation—the Lorry Owners.
Under the astute leadership of Sri Penamakuri Kesava Rao, the association blossomed into a Co-operative Society. Its purpose? To empower, uplift, and unify the very backbone of transportation—the Lorry Owners.
Setting Wheels in Motion
From that day forward, we’ve been in motion—November 27th 1967 marked the commencement of our impactful endeavours. Our commitment to progress, fairness, and community remains steadfast.
A Collaborative Endeavor
Guided by the unwavering support of Andhra Pradesh assembly MLA, Sri Akkineni Bhaskara Rao, our journey began. On November 16th 1967, the association was officially registered with 19 members and Rs. 10,700/ paid-up share capital, marking a pivotal moment in our shared history.
A Mutual Bond
In 1996, we transformed—a metamorphosis etched in the Mutually Aided Co-operative Societies Act. From that day, we’ve been known as “The Krishna District Lorry Owners Mutually Aided Co-operative Stores Limited, No. AMC/KNA/DCO/96/1, Vijayawada.” Our purpose is to serve, support, and strengthen the wheels that move our world.

Sri Chennupati Seshagiri Rao
Founder President
A beacon of simplicity and honesty, Sri Chennupati Seshagiri Rao (1920–2008) was more than a philanthropist.
He wove threads of dignity for the most disadvantaged, championing women’s education in Vijayawada, and as well Focused on the transportation sector, improved mobility, and helped the industries to flourish.

A change-maker breathed life into our vision. Sri Penamakuri Kesava Rao (1926-2001) tireless efforts spanned journalism, acting, and social work.
As a senior Congress leader, he held high positions, advocating for justice and empowerment. His legacy echoes through generations, inspiring us to serve with compassion.

Our doors swing open exclusively for truck operators who’ve anchored their lorries within our borders. With 3483 dedicated members and a robust paid-up Share Capital of Rs. 28.58 Lakhs, we’re a community bound by wheels and shared aspirations.

At the helm, a Board of Directors—15 stalwarts—steer our ship. Their service is honorary, and their vision is unwavering. They crisscross our branches and retail outlets, ensuring seamless services for all. From sunrise to sunset, they champion the cause of Southbound vehicles.

Behind every milestone, there’s a team—a fleet of 200 skilled employees who labour tirelessly. Their dedication knows no clock; their commitment transcends duty. We honour them with salaries that surpass the minimum wage, for they are the heartbeat of our organization.
